Poomsae 4: Follow-Along with me!🙋🏻‍♂️
I tried something new with this follow-along video.
I did a voice over because the neighbours were unusually loud... so I could not record audio today.
Let me know what you guys think about the voice over vibe!🙏🏻
Let's learn and practice Taegeuk 4 Jang, the fourth of the Taegeuk poomsae. Whether you're new to this poomsae, or well-versed... there is something for everyone to learn!
Come back to this video often.
Practice.
Every.
Day!👊🏻

Love your videos! Like you mention, I find it a bit easier to focus exclusively on learning the moves without power at first, then adding power once they're memorized

I started Taekwondo classes about a month ago after mulling over it for 6 months. I went for a few weeks and now I haven't been in... like 3 or 4 weeks. I want to get back to it but I feel ashamed that I've abandoned it for a bit. I feel so stupid because I don't know what I'm doing and I have such terrible coordination and I'm so slow to process information and I give up easily. But I'm also so sick of letting fear control my life and preventing me from doing new things and growing. I want to be more disciplined and confident. Anyway, sorry about my rant. Thank you for the tutorial to jog my memory. Maybe I'll practice it at home. I probably won't. It's 11pm right now.

Thnx for this! Was really hight belt n fighter as a teen. Im an adult now n decided to return. I am getting used to the korean commands again. Was worried but aparently they can give my grade back if i prove i stil know it. Great tips tho dude very helpful video 😇 My body automatically remembers most of the stances n reaction force but iv noticed many ppl are skipping it in class . Fortunatley i have a gud tutor n he corrects these things. Still nice to see videos tho i will be watching more depending on when i grade 👍🙂

I started taking lessons in taekwondo under 4dan taekwondo master. I also watch your channel to get more knowledge, especially in poomsae. Keep up the good work and Thank you.

This is the one way to meditate, to let go. The other method is absolute focus. Learned that destiction from zazen. Guess there is a third that's more like a trance.. kapoira and lethwey looks like they use music to get into this state.. just my thoughts,. I just started practicing tkd and really think it would be nice to incorporate more meditation into my training so looked this up. Guess kata/form could be a kind of meditation too if you really got your rutine down right? Cheers from Denmark!

The official spelling is Gyeong Rae. I pronounce it “Kyung nae” because that’s what I’ve heard for the last 20 years from Korean masters😂 I could honestly be horribly wrong in my pronunciation and I hope if I am, someone tells me asap!
